Lil Nas X Sparks Controversy with New “J Christ” Music Video

Lil Nas X has once again stirred up controversy with his latest music video for “J Christ.” The rapper is seen on a cross in a crucifixion setup, along with various heavenly and hellish scenes reminiscent of his previous work on “Montero (Call Me By Your Name).” The video also features celebrity lookalikes such as Mariah Carey, Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and Kanye West.

Critics have accused Lil Nas X of mocking Christianity in the past, particularly with his infamous “Satan” Nikes, which are also showcased in the new video. Nike previously sued the makers of the shoes for trademark infringement in 2021.

In addition to the controversial imagery, the “J Christ” video includes biblical references, such as a scene where Lil Nas X portrays Noah leading animals into the ark before the flood.

Overall, the video is sure to add to Lil Nas X’s reputation for pushing boundaries and sparking debate with his artistic choices.
